So, what’s Puppy 101? It’s the single most important thing a parent can do for their puppy! Okay, besides belly rubs.
Our 4-week Puppy 101 Classes are fun, educational, and fuzzy toy is included (yes, there will be fuzzy toys)!
Puppies MUST between 8-13 weeks old at the start of class and may join Puppy 101 any week with our innovative ongoing format! Sign up for 4 sessions and you can start as early as this week.
(Here is a link to a position statement from the American Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior on the importance of early socialization)
Each week includes:
- Attention and name-recognition exercises
- Socialization and confidence-building skills
- Play time
- Handling exercises
- House training
Within every 4-week continuous session, we will talk about:
Basic training skills, including: Sit, down, walking on a leash, and recall games. It also includes confidence-building skills, including walking on different surfaces, things you go in and out of, things that move, the many different kinds of sounds your dog will hear.
Puppies must have at least one set of vaccinations given by a veterinarian at least 7-10 days prior to your start of class and be on a worming program.
Record of vaccination must be brought to the first class.
Puppies come every week.
For more information on training puppies check out our Dog Behavior Info Center.
Every Thursday, 6-7pm. Fee: $105 for 4 weeks.
Please bring proof of vaccinations from a veterinarian.
