Dancin’ Woofs Published Woofs
The perfect gift for any dog owner or person who just got a puppy.
Written by Mare Shey, beautifully illustrated by Glen Corbett.
This book was created as a written journal, asking questions to assist in exploring a deeper understanding of your dog’s personality, well-being, and as a guide to provide your friends and dog’s caretakers with a fast and easy way to get to know the ins and outs of the complexity of your best friend, without having lived with them.
As a trainer and behaviorist, I have learned that each dog’s personality is as unique and individual as any human’s. No two dogs are alike, even if they came from the same litter. Exploring this extraordinary relationship and paying attention to a dog’s health and safety are, to me, the most important aspects of sharing a life with a dog. This is a great book to sit down and fill out with the entire family exploring your dog’s distinctive character. Perhaps it will even help you develop a new and deeper understanding of your dog’s unique personality, likes and dislikes, or how you think they view the strange, ever-changing world of us humans. It will also help your family come together on some of the harder issues, such as what to do if your dog gets lost or what to consider when it is time to say goodbye to your pup.
I also added a puppy starter kit for those of you who have just taken on the puppy adventure. These tips will get you started with a few of the basics about understanding this completely different “species.” Remember, they do not speak English and need to be guided on what you WANT them to do, as they are curious creatures that learn everything by exploring and observation. Teach them well and find a good puppy class with a professional trainer.
