Dancin’ Woofs Dog Daycare Testimonials
“Bear is the tall Bernese Mountain dog who loves his Fridays at Dancin’ Woofs where he plays with dogs of all shapes and sizes and humans. People often comment on how friendly, social and well-adjusted he is and we attribute it to his weekly visits to DW. I believe he smiles (and wags), when we pull into the parking lot!” Mary Ellen
I’m Lexi, one of the big German Shepherds, and I’ve been playing at Dancin’ Woofs for 6 1/2 years. Due to a couple surgeries, my Mom can’t exercise me as much as I would like, so she brings me here where I play all day with my dog and human friends.
When I get dropped off I talk to Mary or Kristin and tell them to get me inside fast so I can play. At exactly 5pm my Mom comes to pick me up and I’m soooooooooo tired, I sleep going home in the car, but I can’t wait to come back another day to play at Dancin’ Woofs. I just love it!
My Silky Terrier, Callie, has been attending Dancin’ Woofs for almost 8 years. When I got her I knew I should do something to socialize her as I now live in a very dog friendly area. My previous dog was anxious around other animals. I heard about Dancin’ Woofs and thought I would send Callie for 6 months. As I said, 8 years later, she is still going and is always excited when we pull into the parking lot. I don’t have the heart to stop her from going. She could care less if she meets a large or small dog. Mary L.
“Mare and Dancin’ Woofs saved our relationship with our new puppy, Milo. My husband and I were first time dog owners and we had a very energetic Rat terrier puppy that was driving us crazy. We were seriously considering giving him up. A friend suggested we take him to Mare for advice. Mare showed us what to do to drain some of his energy and doggie day care helped give him much needed exercise that we couldn’t give him during the busy work week. Now we can’t imagine life without Milo. We are better dog owners because of her and Milo is the sweetest, most well behaved dog we could have ever imagined.”

“When Lance came into my life in 2006, he was under-socialized, scared of people and other dogs and lacked confidence. With the attention and structure at Dancin Woof’s daycare, he is now a well adjusted and happy dog. Lance attends daycare once a week and gets very excited when we drive into the parking lot. He absolutely loves daycare and his doggie friends. Lance and I thank you very very much.”
“As you know…we adopted Jackson from the Redmond shelter in June of 2003. He was so fearful that we had difficulties getting him out of the house and in to the outdoors. Of course he was also fearful of other dogs… well, just about anything you could name he was afraid of. One of the first things we did was take one of your classes to see if we were trainable. Shortly after that he began to go to Dancin’ Woofs daycare once a week. He managed to work his way up to being somewhat of an ambassador! We are so happy to have a dog that knows how to socialize with other dogs. He has overcome so many of his fears and it has been a pleasure to work with staff and have them help us help him grow in to the great dog he is. ”
Wynton has been a Dancin’ Woofs client since his adoption, now over 9 years and counting. Without Dancin’ Woofs extra training, manners, socializing (and lots of love!) to back up our at-home training, the relationship between us and our VERY independent pet might have turned out very differently. Little did we know when we sought out ‘some doggy obedience’ classes 9 years ago that we (and our dog) would form lifelong friendships. We are eternally grateful for the continuing support, advice and friendship of all the staff at Dancin’ Woofs and highly recommend them to everyone who asks “where to go?” for dog training in Bend.
Love you all,
Lorell, Neal and Wynton (woof!)
Both Jonah and I love Dancin’ Woofs! Before moving here two and a half year ago I did some research to find a doggie daycare for Jonah and Dancin’ Woofs was the place I picked right away. As soon as we had moved here Jonah was introduced to Dancin’ Woofs in Bend and loved it from day one. Jonah is now on his third year there and I seriously believe that he thinks he works there. His job, per Jonah, is to herd everybody around but in a good way.
A report card comes home every week so I can see what he has been doing and who he has played with. All the humans at Dancin’ Woofs are extremely knowledgeable, caring and full of compassion for their four legged clients. If a concern pops up I will be notified which means a lot to me. If we are off a few days Jonah can’t wait to go back to Dancin’ Woofs. He will look out the car window from Sisters to daycare and whine until we are there. What can I say, if I could get boarded there I would! I love them so much.

My dog is two years old now, but she was a puppy when we took our first class with Mare. We both had a great time and Targhee thrived in the classes. Over the last two years she has also been a day care client. How excited she gets when she realizes where she is as we drive in! She has taken to showing me she wants to go in the morning. I feed her before we leave on daycare days-unlike our usual morning walks- so she goes and stands by her food bowl to give me her message. I love Dancin’ Woofs because they are so good to my dog, and all the dogs. The staff are so positive and obviously enjoy all their dog clients. I wish I could work there!

I am so glad you are here! It is awesome to be able to bring Bailey for the day and know that he will have fun playing with other dogs in a safe environment. Bailey loves it – his excitement is almost uncontrollable on the drive over. He is learning the names of his people friends there and all I have to do is mention one of their names and he turns into a “crazy guy” jumping around and happy.
He’s also stayed for several nights when we were out of town and it’s so wonderful to have people we trust to take care of him when we can’t be here.
We also learned a lot from a class we took with Bailey at Dancin’ Woofs and am hopeful we can take him to a clicker training class in the future. Thank you! for being here and giving the doggies of Central Oregon a great place to visit.

Thank you so much for having such a wonderful, fun place for our miniature red poodle, Ace, to spend his day. We know he has a terrific day with loving people and a safe environment in which to explore new furry friends. In the year Ace has been attending daycare on a weekly basis, his attitude on his daily walks and daily visits to the doggie park has improved dramatically. We feel so lucky to have found you.

Cherry and I have learned dozens, perhaps a couple of hundred things in Puppy, Basic, and Intermediate class, but when I talk with other people about what I’ve learned from Mare and Kristin, I often say that each course was worth 10x my money and time investment for one or two enduring life skills that Cherry and I would not have without Dancin’ Woofs training. They are:
Puppy – marking the skill and putting the dog in park.
Basic – I need to “throw a party” that is bigger than what ever the potential distraction if I want Cherry to respond – I believe that is the basis of Cherry’s success on reliable recall from 100 yds with distraction.
Intermediate – reliably sending Cherry to a remote spot with attendant down/stay – she got this skill from class – I am looking forward to developing it into a versatile companion skill to take her out of the line of fire in many situations.

Wonderful dog training and daycare services. Already completed Basic and Intermediate and looking forward to more training. The trainers are compassionate and helpful at adapting learning styles to ensure success. Daycare provides great socialization and enjoyment — my little guy can’t wait to go and is happily exhausted by the end of each day (great way to use up all that puppy energy!)

If not for Mare’s help with my Aussie, Shepherd, Collie mix, I could not have kept my puppy. Without Mary, Linda, and Kristin’s love and compassion I would be lost. This dog was different in every way possible from dogs I have had in the past. I had no clue what to do with him and was ready to give up. I had never given up a dog before but he was so far out of my knowledge on dogs I didn’t know what to do. He was 6 weeks old when I got him, and just turned 8 months. He has come so far and is a great little dog! I am so happy to have the help to allow me to keep him! Thank you to the staff that just doesn’t “hang out” while my dog is there, but puts in the effort to teach him and keep him safe and happy! WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!
